All IZ WELL

Dear ALL,

They say that when problems come they come 'all at a time' ! It happened to me ever since I wanted to resume my blogging last fortnight. It all began with one of my mailids not accepting the password ! I hadnt changed anything but I was getting a 'password incorrect' message. I was however able to access the same through my mobile phone - it stores the password- is that why ? Some geeks have to answer this.

When I wanted to retrieve the password , they send a mail to recover my password to another mail of mine. When I try to open the second mail, I find that this too is not accepting the password. So I had to request pasword recovery to the second mail to get the first password. For this to happen , I must give the alternative mail to the second mail. Do I have one ? Fortunately the answer is YES. But is it operational ? The answer unfortunately is NO. Do I remember its password ? Long ...long ago !

I did remember it and mail 3 gave me access to mail 2 which gave me access to mail 1 :)

It was a bitter but eye-opening experience. It wisened me up.

All this happened while my bsnl broadband modem's dsl and internet LEDs would wink, blink, and off alternately due to some port not healthy at the local bsnl exchange.

When I call the helpline , they give me a number and I get immediate assitance. Happy ? But happiness was shortlived. Problem repeats after two days as I have to send recos online to students.

When I call again, the people there are sick, admitted to hospital etc etc. Finally , the lineman is put on the line (pun unintended), and he starts from my modem and ends ate their port to find the problem.

When it is finally rectified , they call me up to find my 'satisfaction' level.

I ask them a question. Why is this connection so fickle ? The reply I get is a gooly....

" SIR, it is Electronics hai na.....it will be unreliable, we cant say anything'. Ha, ha, ha....

Just as I am about to finish this blog...the modem falls off its pedestal with a thud.....

....fortunately..............

ALL IZ WELL
