WIPRO BPO has contacted our Director and took permission to visit our campus on 24th February, 2011.

PLACEMENT NOTICE (AY 2010-11)

Company :  WIPRO BPO

Date :     24th February, 2011

Venue :   SVIT, SECUNDERABAD

Reporting Time :  9:00 AM

Eligibility :

Following is the profile of candidates that we are looking at :

• Good verbal/written communication skills
• Readiness to work in night shifts
• Age : 18yrs-45yrs
• Must have basic computer knowledge
• Final year students of graduation / post graduation and passed out students ( all except MCA/MBA)
• BE/BTech (only CSE,EEE,ECE,EIE are eligible)

Our program would begin with a presentation followed by 4 rounds of interview out of which the first 3 rounds will be elimination rounds.

These are :

• Basic Screening
• HR interview
• Voice Assessment
• Domain/Technical Test

Candidates who clear all these rounds and are selected would be offered on the same day.

CANDIDATES INTERESTED AND ELIGIBLE MUST REGISTER ON OR BEFORE 2:00PM ON 23RD FEBRUARY, 2011 WITH THE HOD CONCERNED.

ALSO NOTE :

When I spoke to the officials @ Wipro they told me this :

1. We select engineers for our BPO operations . 

2. There is NO BOND (you can leave anytime).

3. After 18 months of work, you will have the opportunity to shift to technology services (software jobs) within Wipro.

They said they will present statistics of students who shifted like this from BPO to software jobs.
