It is amazing to see some heartening changes in the attitudes of our students. As an unbiased observer and trainer, I find these quite encouraging - especially when we are living in the middle of a majority of non-believers, if I may use that word !
This summer vacation turned out be be one of the MOST recreating, relaxing and surprising one to me. Some myths were busted during this time :
1. That students never want to come to college during summer vacation.
2. That students are not interested in academics.
3. That students are not interested in projects.
4. That students do not want to indulge in inspiring design-centered activities.
I just want to summarise what happened :
1. The 08 batch students had done a massive and collaborative project during which they realised some amazing truths about themselves and their own class mates. This was done during the vacation time.
2. The 09 batch students are showing similar promise by voluntarily enrolling for the T2P Workshops. The second workshop will begin on 15th. The students who volunteered are supposed to report at 08:30am and must work till 04:30pm for SIX days.
The students, I found are getting excited especially when they are given an opportunity to interact with their seniors.
I sincerely hope and pray that this tribe increases and we install a culture of serious and fun-filled search of the mysteries of Electronic Design.
It was and never is easy embarking on this journey. There are many non-starters, slow-starters, negate-rs, non-believers who try to test your resolve and commitment at every step. Without them, the journey wouldn't be as exciting as it is now ! As trainers, we will help you in your desire to pick up the essential skills.
