Dr. Krishna Mohan Buddhiraju,Associate Professor,Centre of Studies in Resources Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology,Bombay, interacted with staff and students of SVIT on 18th afternoon from 2:30- 4:30pm.Dr. Krishna Mohan Buddhiraju received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 1991. His area of specialization is satellite image processing. His current research interests include High resolution satellite image analysis, Machine Learning algorithms, Educational Content Development and Geographic Information Systems. He is currently supervising five PhD students and is a co-supervisor for another eight PhD students. He is a reviewer of manuscripts submitted to several international journals in the area of satellite remote sensing and image processing, and an examiner of PhD theses of students from many universities. He is recipient of 2003 M.N.Saha Memorial Medal for Best Application Oriented Paper in IETE Journal of Research. He has visited many countries as Visiting Scientist and for presenting papers in international conferences. He is a life member of the Indian Society of Remote Sensing and Indian Society of Geomatics.
